It's one of the best messaging apps out there, no one argues with that. The Android app is also nice feature-wise, but one feature that is definitely lacking in Skype for Android is the auto-boot with the device turning on.
If your company communicates through Skype, or you want to keep in touch with loved ones while on the go through out the day - chances are, you will want to open it up and sign in your account in the morning as soon as you wake up.
This is something that I forget to do though. In the morning I have a couple of hours of lost communication with my team sometimes, just because I forgot to open a simple app on my phone. There are helpful utilities in such cases (my personal favorite: On Boot App Autostart) that help you autostart certain apps on your phone when you turn it on.
